Oh, where to begin with the love I have for this girl. My relationship with Amy is one that has and continues to change my life forever. She quickly became my cross country best friend our last semester of high school, and was my first ever "college friend." She was my roommate, the one who taught me how to spend time with Jesus, the one who made me want to be addicted to coffee, the one who stayed up until the early morning hours because her absolute joy in being with people was too big to be squashed by homework. Amy is without a doubt the most selfless, giving person I know. She makes coffee deliveries, she drives everyone everywhere in her beloved car, "Treas" (short for Treasure), she listens without trying to fix. Somehow, at the same time she is a total and complete goof, bringing joy to everyone. She makes people feel welcome, and she treats complete strangers as if they're friends. She shares my sense of adventure, and feeds it by finding any and every opportunity to go to a concert or explore some new part of Charlotte. Amy's heart is so very genuine and deep, always questioning and always yearning to grow and be satisfied and full. Her honesty and vulnerability and desire for depth in friendship are what made me want to be her friend in the first place. Ames, you are beautiful. I admire your heart to serve and love people selflessly, to bring joy in all moments, and to never quit drinking coffee. I am grateful beyond measure for you.
