The song "Your Hands" by JJ Heller has been a constant for me over the last two months, but the lyrics have never felt more real than they did last night as i experienced my first earthquake. I'd never listened to the song literally or thought deeply about the power necessary to shake the earth or move the mountains until I actually felt it happen. Although many people in Costa Rica were probably sitting on the edge of their seats waiting for the shaking to stop, I felt a strange calmness and sense of awe at the reality that even though the earth can literally shake, I'm safe in God's hands.
